All token prices, cost-per-task figures, monthly-spend projections, waste estimates, and routing suggestions on Agent Cost Compare are estimates provided for general informational purposes only. They are derived from the public list prices each model provider publishes, applied to a workload you describe (steps, context growth, retries, caching), as explained in the methodology section of the calculator.
Actual costs will differ
Your real-world spend will vary — often substantially — based on factors including:
- Provider price changes (LLM pricing changes frequently and without notice)
- Your prompt-cache hit rate, which depends on prefix stability you control
- How context actually grows per turn, and real retry and failure rates
- Input vs. output token mix, reasoning/thinking tokens, and tool-call overhead
- Batch/async discounts, tiered or regional pricing, and free-tier allowances
- Negotiated enterprise or committed-spend rates, currency, and taxes
Figures may be out of date the moment a provider changes its pricing. Always confirm current pricing directly with the provider before making any decision.
